A
remarkable booklet detailing the history of the grammar school in Drigg
in Cumbria. The school began life 300 years ago with an endowment of
£260, and thrived for decades. But a scandal overwhelmed it and the
school finally closed. The book was written by a much-missed member of the Ashwater team - Dorothy Ravenswood, who was our arbiter of all things grammatical, and much more. Unfortunately we have no copies available. BACK TO NFR |
