A remarkable book of wartime reminiscences concerning three members of Geoff Whaley's family, including his father. Immaculately researched and presented the book is full of detail including  previously unseen cartoon drawings by a prisoner of war in Germany.

Ken's note: Geoff was my longest known friend - we began together in infants school and remained firm friends ever since. I even photographed his wedding. About three years ago Geoff contracted motor neurone disease and finally went to Switzerland to end his life, unable to be looked after any more at home by his wife. Since then his wife, Ann, has campaigned relentlessly for compassion in dying and the ability of sufferers like Geoff to be able to end their life lawfully at home.

Thank you from Geoff.
