A review of David Hamilton new book posted on Amazon by P. Robertson (Worthing):

I've been fortunate to meet a fair few celebrities in my time, and I can honestly say that David Hamilton, broadcaster, is a big favourite. I say big... Despite a glittering career, he remains totally approachable, down-to-earth, decent, normal and endearing. He's also terrific fun with a wonderful sense of humour and love of life. This book contains many of David's hilarious anecdotes while discussing one of the great passions of his life, Fulham FC, for whom he has long been match-day MC at Craven Cottage. You certainly don't need to be a Fulham fan to enjoy this book, but even if you weren't a Diddy David fan before, you will be after reading it. And read it you must!

5 out of 5 stars

Fantastic read for supporters, 'Diddy' David Hamilton fans and everyone else, too! - by MisterQ

This wonderfully enjoyable book is a funny, touching and insightful summary of David Hamilton's connection with Fulham Football Club.

Commencing with the quirk of fate that saw David become a Fulham supporter, through his time as a Director of the club, the legends that have played for the Whites and the myriad ups and downs, right up to the present day. The book also provides the inside-track on his infamous, shabbily handled, 'sacking', plus his rather unconventional re-instatement!

Not only is 'A Fulhamish Tale' beautifully produced by Ashwater Press, with huge numbers of fantastic photographs, it is first and foremost a hugely entertaining read from cover to cover, as you would expect from a broadcasting legend!

SPECIAL OFFER - JUST 10, plus postage

This is David's own real-life Fulham story - from supporting the club as a boy when he lived by Putney Bridge, to becoming a director of the club, right up to his time as the club's famed matchday announcer.

A Fulhamish Tale is an affectionate look at our club, full of wit and drama and lots of laughs (not all at Les Strong's expense).

Packed with pictures, including many from David's archive as well as Ashwater's Fulham archive, A Fulhamish Tale is a dazzling tour de force from a master of words.

David's wife is quoted as saying "unputdownable" - and she was definitely referring to the book.

A great read with some lovely stories, from a broadcasting giant." - TalkSPORT
